Karnataka: COMEDK results announced

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka announced the results of the COMEDK exams on Friday.

After the mandate given by the Association of Engineering Colleges, COMEDK conducted the entrance test for admissions to Undergraduate Engineering courses for the academic year 2024-25 on May 12. The test was conducted online in 264 test centers located in 191 cities across the Country in three sessions.

 As against 1,18,005 candidates who applied seeking Engineering UG seats, around 1,03,799 (35,124 Karnataka and 68,675 Non-Karnataka) candidates took the test. As many as 50 Candidates challenged the answer keys.

As was done last year, this year also, the COMEDK counseling would be conducted online, and the candidates must upload the scanned copies of the documents through their login. These uploaded documents will be verified by the panel of expert verification officers.

The number of seats available to be filled up, the quantum of tuition fees and Counselling dates would be notified in due course.

Analysis

  • 10,575 Candidates are in 90th to 100th percentile. Out of this, 3126 candidates are from Karnataka.
  • 10,538 candidates are between the 80th and 90th percentile. Among these 2749 candidates are from Karnataka.
  • 10648 candidates are between the 70th and 80th percentile, of which 3028 candidates are from Karnataka.
  • Out of the first 10 ranks, 8 have been secured by Karnataka candidates, whereas this number is 58 out of the first 100 rank holders.
