The book ‘In Search of a Perfect Story’ proved to be an expedition for finding not only a voice amidst the din of other voices but it also began the search for that perfect story which emanated from the heart and touched other people.
Khaitan Public School, Sahibabad gave this opportunity to its students where they were able to churn out a story which would make the world stand and take note. A workshop under the aegis of Quill Club Writers headed by Mr. Hemant Kumar and Ruchira Mittal was conducted in December, 2017 during the winter vacation. The workshop apprised the ten selected students of the nuances of writing and allowed them to express themselves using the language of their heart.
The book launch of ‘In Search of a Perfect Story’ saw the presence of eminent personalities such as the national best seller Sanel Sachar, two remarkable entrepreneurs Ajay and Vijay, RJ Rahul Makin and Ms. Ruchira Mittal, the publisher of this book. The programme was also attended by our Vice Chairman Mr. Anirudh Khaitan, Education Director, Ms. Geeta Varshneya, Heads of all wings and parents.
The event began by invoking the blessings of God by lighting the lamp. The august assembly was welcomed by the Education Director, Ms. Geeta Varshneya which was followed by a panel discussion on ‘Life Beyond Academics’ among the guests of honour. They encouraged students to dream and cultivate a passion which would keep them afloat in this era of competition.
It was followed by a discussion among the ten student authors about their experiences while writing the stories, their tribulations and ultimately their success at creating stories which adorned the book, ‘In Search of a Perfect Story’.
The event ended with an address by our Vice Chairman who lauded the efforts of the students and congratulated them on their feat.
This event was not only a realisation of the dreams of our students but it was the fulfilment of the collective aspirations of the school and students by taking a giant step into the world of writing.
