KLAY, Satellite Complex, Ahmedabad is part of the Kids, Learning and You (KLAY) chain of preschools started by Jerry Rao (founding chairman and MD, Mphasis and former chairman, NASSCOM) and Priya Krishnan in June 2011. KLAY schools are an initiative of VBHC Education Services (VES).
The KLAY teaching and learning philosophy is based on Multiple Intelligences and experiential learning where the child learns through experiences in and around one’s learning space. The curriculum also incorporates various pedagogies such as Montessori, Waldorf, Head Start, High Reach Learning, High Scope, The Creative Curriculum, Reggio Emilia approach, Bank Street and Forest kindergartens.
The KLAY Preschools are compliant with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards.
The preschool hosts bright, colourful, air conditioned classrooms, an AV room, a library, an art studio, indoor play area and huge play area with sand pit, swings, slides, see saws, jungle gym and balance beam.
KLAY’s curriculum is based on multiple intelligences of the child. The preschool offers an environment that is child centered, teacher facilitated, supported by state of the art technology and teaching resources. According to the preschool, its teachers are specially trained to implement its teaching methodology and successfully accomplish the role of a facilitator. The preschool’s curriculum focuses on experiential learning through an environment that stimulates the children’s thinking.
The KLAY preschool focus areas are linguistic, logical-mathematical, Bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, spatial and naturalistic.

TransportationParents can apply online or visit the preschool, meet the center head and collect an admission kit after which an interaction is held with the parents, a formal admission offer is made and admission formalities are completed. Parents are expected to spend time during the first week of the settlement process till the child adapts to the new environment.
