Kolkata boy tops CA Intermediate examination

The results of the Chartered Accountants Intermediate Examination (Old and New Course) held in May – June, 2019 were declared today, that is, 27th July, 2019 by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The top rank holders on All India Basis for Intermediate Examination for Old Course which was held in May–June, 2019 are Abhinav Prakash Mishra from Kolkata, Shripal Prakash Doshi from Mumbai, Jyoti Agrawal from Rourkela, Darshan S. from Chennai and G. Raghavendra Prasath from New Delhi.

Meanwhile, the top rank holders of the Chartered Accountants Intermediate Examination (Old Course) are Jaipur-based Akshat Goyal, Anil Shah from Mumbai and Anjali Goyal, Panipat. The number students admitted in Intermediate exam (Old course) were 1,22,788 while for the New course it was 72,727.

According to a ICAI press release, the details of percentage of candidates passed in the above said examinations are:

Group I
No. of candidates appeared: 45857
No. of candidates passed: 6716
Percentage(%) of pass: 14.65

Group II
No. of candidates appeared: 73091
No. of candidates passed: 15932
Percentage(%) of pass: 21.80

Both Group I and II
No. of candidates appeared: 17061
No. of candidates passed: 324
Percentage(%) of pass: 1.90
