The Law School Admission Test 2022 or LSAT 2022 is an exam conducted internationally by the Law School Admission Council or LSAC.
LSAT is an integral part of law school admission in the United States, Canada, and several other countries, and is the only admission test accepted by ABA-accredited law schools.
The LSAT is conducted on predefined dates at various different testing centres worldwide. LSAT scores are calculated on a 120 to 180 point scale for each section and the average of these scores or the final LSAT score is also calculated on a scale of 120-140. The LSAT 2022 scores will be valid for up to five years from the date of the test.
Eligibility
There are no specific eligibility criteria for writing the LSAT exam. However, candidates are required to meet the individual eligibility criteria for the prospective college or university of application. Additionally, as LSAT is meant for admission to postgraduate programmes in the legal domain, the candidate is generally expected to have completed his or her undergraduate education in related fields.
LSAT 2022 Exam Pattern
Mode: Till June 2022, LSAC has announced that the LSAT exam will be conducted online due to COVID 19.
The LSAT 2022 exam comprises five sections which of 35 minutes duration each comprising multiple choice questions. Of the five sections, one section is a variable section that is unscored and doesn’t contribute to the candidate’s final score. The unscored section cannot be differentiated from the four scored sections until the candidate receives his or her score report. Additionally, a 35-minute writing sample is also required. The writing sample is unscored but is sent along with the final scorecard to all the colleges/universities to which the candidate applies. There is no negative marking in any of the sections of the LSAT 2022 exam.

The second part of the LSAT i.e., the writing sample is and administered separately and conducted online through secure proctoring software.
Candidates can choose the date of appearing for the writing sample as early as eight days prior to the date of the first part of the LSAT.
