Lexicon Kids, a chain of preschools managed by Pune based Lexicon Group of Institutes in collaboration with ThinkerPlace have introduced STEM-based educational DIY kits along with their curriculum. Through these kits, children learn to apply concepts taught to them in a practical way. Lexicon Kids have set up STEM Labs to extend their experimental learning curriculum. These labs are provided by ThinkerPlace, an edtech company that provides learning from concepts to practical application through DIY Kits.

According to the organisation’s press release the STEM methodology, a worldwide new trend in child development and education that focuses on studying and understanding its four core subjects – Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. ThinkerPlace aims to bring this methodology to the children of India where they will learn new-age skills like robotics, electronics, coding, automation, etc. Lexicon Kids works on making young minds into great minds and hence their curriculum is not only academically driven but also focuses on the overall skill development that includes emotional, cognitive, social growth.
ThinkerPlace introduces S.T.E.M-based learning to kids at an early age which sparks their curiosity to look into creative and innovative ways to perform activities. Learning by doing helps in stimulating their brain and encourage them to think independently. “Applied learning when implemented through fun techniques becomes interesting and helps kids to develop their skills in a better way” – says Deepti Sharma, Director, Lexicon Kids.
