Loreto Convent, Lucknow is an all girls’ educational institution affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. Founded in 1872, Loreto Convent is managed by the Sisters of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also known as the Loreto Nuns. The school initially started as a coeducational school; it was later in the 1960s that it became an all girls’ school offering education to girls from nursery to class XII.
The primary aim of Loreto Convent High School, Lucknow is to educate catholic girls, but girls from other religions are also accepted.
The school offers modern facilities such as well-ventilated classrooms, students counseling, a sports complex, a well stocked library, seminar room, music center, a medical infirmary, cafeteria, a well equipped laboratories, auditorium, art rooms and a play area.
The school follows the curriculum prescribed by the CISCE and offers education to girls from nursery to class XII. The school academic year runs from April to March.
Extracurricular: Apart from academics, the school lays emphasis on extracurricular activities such as dramatics, elocution, cookery, singing, card making and cultural programs.
