Madhya Pradesh: School bus catches fire; no casualty

On Wednesday morning in Sidhi city, Madhya Pradesh, a privately-owned school bus carrying children caught fire, as reported by a police official. Fortunately, neither the children nor the bus driver sustained injuries, although the vehicle incurred damage.

The incident occurred around 9 am near the Police Lines ground, causing alarm among the children on board. Swiftly responding to the situation, the driver halted the bus and safely evacuated five to seven children. Eyewitnesses, however, asserted that nearly a dozen children were inside the bus during the incident, and all managed to exit unharmed.

Upon the arrival of a fire tender, the blaze was extinguished. The entire bus was engulfed in flames, resulting in significant damage, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
