Overview

MAF Academy, Sector 62, Noida is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Founded in 2002 by the MAF Academy Shiksha Samiti, the school follows the motto "Knowledge is our weapon".

The school aims to not only impart education in accordance with the education policy but to provide opportunities to students for all round development of their personality along with inculcating in them qualities of compassion for mankind, love for the motherland and a desire to create a niche for themselves. The school aims at empowering children with confidence and poise to face the challenges of the modern day world.

Campus

The 4.9 acre school campus hosts green lawns and buildings that house well equipped labs for physics, chemistry and biology, a computer lab, well stocked library, art and craft rooms, activity room, AV room, infirmary and a cafeteria. The school also hosts a multipurpose playground at the back of the school building with courts for different games such as basketball, football and volleyball; the school also has a swimming pool and an indoor games room with facilities for table tennis, badminton, taekwondo and skating.

Academics

At the pre-primary level, Playway approach to teaching is employed and children are engaged in activities such as coloring, free hand drawing and craft. Computer education is an essential part of the learning process. Other activities include group rhyme competition, art and craft activities, monthly workshops and dealing with various themes.

At primary and middle school, learning is activity based and emphasis is on developing a sense of creativity with exposure to activities such as music, dance, art and craft, games, public speaking etc., Science and art and craft exhibitions are held regularly and a spirit of competitiveness is inculcated in children by encouraging them to participate in various inter-house and inter-school competitions. Assessments are done through a system of weekly tests and implementation of CCE to understand the child’s performance in academics and understand other areas such as behavioural attitudes, aesthetic and interpersonal skills etc.

At senior school, focus is on more channelised training and apart from subject knowledge, students are also offered scientific and technical training to prepare for board and competitive exams.

General Information

Admission

The minimum age for admission to nursery is 3 years as on March 31 of the year in which admission is sought. Children registered for admissions to nursery and kindergarten are called for an interaction along with their parents/guardians. Admission is based purely on performance and merit.

Students seeking admission to class I and above are required to write an assessment test and qualifying students are called for an interaction along with the parents. List of selected candidates are displayed on the school notice board; parents will be required to pay the fee by the dates indicated on the list.

Accommodation

Being a day school, MAF Academy, Sector 62 does not offer accommodation facility.
