Maharashtra HSC 2022 results: Pass percentage stands at 94.22%

The higher secondary exam aka class XII results announced today (June 8) by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) recorded an overall pass percentage of 94.22 percent for the academic year, 2021-22. The pass percentage for girls at 95.35 percent was higher than that for boys at 93.29 percent.

Amongst the three study streams – Science, Commerce and Arts, the overall percentage for the Science stream was 98.3 percent, the Commerce stream pass percentage stood at 91.71 and the Arts stream recorded 90.51 percent pass percentage. Of the 153 language and other subjects that students were tested for, 24 subjects saw 100 percent passing.  

This year a total of 14,49,664 students registered for the class XII exams held between March 4-30, 2022. Of the 14,39,731 students who appeared for the exams across Maharashtra this year, 13,56,604 cleared the exams.

While the highest pass percentage was recorded by students from the Konkan division at 97.21 percent, the lowest pass percentage of 90.91 percent was recorded by the Mumbai division. Ranking second in terms of pass percentage, the Nagpur division stood at 96.52 percent. It was followed by Amravati division (96.34 percent), Latur division (95.25 percent),  Kolhapur division (95.07 percent), Nasik division (95.03 percent), Aurangabad division (94.97 percent), Pune division (93.61 percent) and Mumbai division  (90.91 percent).
