Overview

Sited in Sector 21C, Faridabad, Manav Rachna International School (MRIS, estb. 2006) is the first school promoted by Manav Rachna Educational Institutions. The school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and offers education from nursery to class XII.

MRIS conducts regular training workshops for teachers in contemporary pedagogies and stress-management. A variety of teaching methodologies such as cooperative learning, learning through role play, projects, models, and Socratic questioning are used in addition to Smart Class technology.

The iCarnegie Robotics programme has also been adopted by the school.

Campus

All classrooms are equipped with interactive boards. The school has a well-stocked, computerized library with a huge stock of books, DVDs, CDs, encyclopedia, periodicals and magazines. The school also provides science, math, computer and language laboratories. The Sector 21C campus is equipped with a basketball court, baby gym, skating rink, and indoor stadium for carrom, chess and gymnastics.

A shooting range is also available.

Academics

MRIS, Sector 21C is affiliated with the CBSE. In primary section there is no formal examination. Hindi is taught as second language from class I. Students can choose between Sanskrit and French from class V.

Streams offered at 10+2 level include commerce, non-medical, medical and humanities.

The Junior Engineer Lab, the iCarnegie lab, language labs, math lab and science labs help students learn through exploration.

Classrooms are equipped with interactive boards and multimedia teaching aids.

Extracurricular education

Students are encouraged to participate in various co-curricular activities like art and craft, music, dance, yoga and meditation. Sports facilities include gymnastics, skating, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, chess, kickboxing, billiards, cricket, martial arts, aerobics and golf. A range of club activities like math, pottery, language, music, dramatics, cookery and photography clubs provide avenues for skill development.

Admission

Application forms are available in the school office and on the website against a payment of Rs.750. Parents are required to submit to the school office a copy of the application form submitted online and affix a recent passport-size photograph along with other documents as mentioned in the application form.
