Founded in 1956, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) is a deemed university located in Manipal, Karnataka. It boasts over 28,000 students from 52 countries and branch campuses in Bangalore, Mangalore, Sikkim, Jaipur, Dubai, Malaysia and Antigua.
The university’s mission is to be the most preferred choice of students, faculty and industry and to be among the top 10 in every discipline of education- health sciences, engineering and management.
The university is ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001: 2004 certified. It is a recipient of the prestigious IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality award and the International Asia Pacific Quality award in 2007- 2008.
The 600-acre university campus at Manipal hosts a myriad of facilities to supplement classroom teaching, a simulation centre, innovation centre, convention centre, business incubation centre, well resourced library, state-of-the-art laboratories, banks and ATM.
Sports facilities include gymnasium, synthetic jogging track, four squash courts, basketball court with NBA specifications, badminton courts, playing area for futsal, and cricket bowling machine.
The university offers undergraduate, post graduate, super specialty and diploma certificate programmes. It offers 201 programmes across 19 disciplines.

Placements:
The MAHE placement cell facilitates the placement procedure to build students’ careers. The placement procedure at MAHE is conducted in a stepwise manner. The companies are firstly invited for pre-placement talks, which is followed by an interactive session. After this, the placement fair is conducted where companies from different domains are invited and given booths for resume-collections and business cards exchanges. After the placement fair, students get shortlisted. Major renowned companies and corporations participate in the placement procedure of MAHE, some of which include UNICEF, WHO, Accenture and Fortis group.
Recent placement highlights-2020: At the 2020 MAHE placements, 170 offers were made to UG three-year students, and the median CTC stood at INR 3 LPA.
In the year 2020, at Manipal University MAHE placement, the median salary that was offered to the students who were pursuing UG 3 years course was INR 3 lakhs. There were 483 students who opted for higher studies in the same year. For PG two-year students, a total of 1387 students were placed with the median CTC being INR 10 LPA. The highest overall package was INR 43.31 LPA, and leading recruiters included UNICEF, Tata Hospitals, Fortis Group, Apollo Hospitals, WHO and Accenture.
