Founded in 1942, Metas MCD School of Seventh Day Adventists, Surat is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. Founded in 1942, METAS of Seventh-Day Adventists is owned and managed by the Seventh – day Adventist Organisation. The school offers classes from Junior KG to class XII.

The well ventilated classrooms are equipped with SmartClass solutions (Interactive Boards); the school hosts well equipped laboratories for biology, physics and chemistry, a library with more than 25,000 books, a modern computer lab, an audio-visual center, two spacious auditoriums, community halls for cultural activities, an art and craft room, music room, an infirmary with nurse in attendance and a vast playground.
At the primary level (classes I to IV), the subjects taught are English, Gujarati or Hindi (II Language), mathematics, general science, social studies, arts and crafts, moral instruction, physical training, Gujarati or Hindi (III Language) and computers. At the middle school level (classes V to VIII), the subjects taught are English, Gujarati or Hindi (II Language), mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, history and civics, geography, moral instruction, physical training, Gujarati or Hindi (III Language), computer, speaking and listening skills and other subjects.
The secondary school curriculum includes English, Gujarati or Hindi, history, civics and geography, mathematics, science: physics, chemistry and biology, computers applications or economic applications, moral instruction and physical training. At the senior secondary level, every student is required to take English (Compulsory), four elective subjects and the student must be evaluated internally by the school in Socially Useful Productive Works and Community Service (SUPW).
The optional subject combinations are:
Science stream: English, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, moral instruction, speaking and listening skills and physical training.
Commerce stream: English, commerce, accountancy, economics, business studies, mathematics, moral instruction, computer science, speaking and listening skills and physical training.

The school usually issues admission forms for Junior KG in December /January and for other classes in the last week of May. Exact dates and timings are prominently displayed on the school’s notice board.
The minimum age of admission to Junior KG is 3.5 years by June of the year in which admission is sought. All new applicants for Junior KG must produce an official birth certificate.
Students seeking admission to class I and above must produce a school leaving certificate of the last school attended, signed by approved authorities and admission is decided strictly based on the performance in entrance tests in English, arithmetic and general knowledge.
Admissions to class XI are strictly on merit basis. Minimum marks required for eligibility are 60 percent for commerce and 70 percent for science stream. Students must also clear interview and entrance tests. Photocopies of mark-sheet, transfer certificate and other relevant documents must be produced at the time of application.
