MSBSHSE to declare 10th, 12th results in July

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will declare the results of Maharashtra HSC or Class 12 examinations by mid-July and the SSC or class 10 examination results by end of July. The Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad announced this on Tuesday, June 16. Students who have appeared in the Maharashtra HSC and SSC examinations will be able to check their results online at maharesult.nic.in.

The Maharashtra class 12th board examinations were conducted before the lockdown began in March. The Geography paper of SSC exams was earlier scheduled for March 23 but could not be held. The state board cancelled the SSC Geography exam in May and said that students will be awarded an average of the marks obtained in the other five subjects for the last paper.

Maharashtra schools to reopen  for classes for standards 9, 10 in schools located in non-red zone areas and junior college for class 12 from July 1, the state government said on Monday. The school will reopen for classes 6 to 8 from August.

Meanwhile, the decision to reopen schools in Maharashtra was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray attended by the School Education Minister and other officials. A circular issued on Monday stated that “schools not located in the red zone can commence classes of Standard 9, 10 and 12 from July 1” while “classes of 6th to 8th standards would begin from August”.
