For this young lad from Mumbai, it was not about drafting a two-page long, text-rich, stereotypical resume. Thinking out of the box not just earned him an internship at CRED (a fintech start-up). His impressive resume has also thrown him in lime light with social media showering praises for making his job application so catchy.
A 21-year-old Avkash Shah chose to make an unconventional resume with little text, yet replete with ideas that the company has been representing in its advertisements. Avkash Shah, a 3D motion/graphic designer made an audio-visual resume, a short video of about 32 seconds and tagged the founder of CRED Kunal Shah and the start-up’s design head Harish Sivaramakrishnan on his LinkedIn post seeking an internship.
The resume which was posted five days ago, now has over 70,000 likes and has been trending on social media platforms for being one of the most impressive resumes.
“I want to intern at CRED. Here’s my application. I figured that if I was going to apply, I’d make something worth it. It pays to be good,” he wrote in the post.
Stating that design is art, he said in the video that he hopes to bag an internship at CRED with a hope to learn more.
