Overview

The National Academy for Learning (NAFL), Banaglore was established in 1990 by well-known educationist Dr. K.P.Gopalkrishna. It is part of the well-known National Public Schools group which includes six schools in Bangalore and one in Chennai.Located in the suburb of Basaveswaranagar, NAFL is a private co-educational day-boarding school offering kindergarten to class XII education. The school offers a low student-teacher ratio resulting in an interactive learning atmosphere.

NAFL is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education. Until class IX, the school follows its uniquely developed curriculum. In classes X-XII, the CBSE syllabus is strictly adhered to. NAFL is also accredited by ULES (University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate) to deliver its IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) programme.

Campus

NAFL offers state-of-the-art infrastructure including bright, well-ventilated classrooms, a well stocked library, a computer lab and a fully-functional science laboratory. Two basketball courts and mini sports fields are available for outdoor activities. The small fields can be used as a soccer field for toddlers to play.

Academics

NAFL is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education. The school follows its own curriculum, prepared by a panel of experts until class IX. It is based on the syllabus prescribed by the CBSE board, and aims to make the children participative learners, relating their studies to life outside the school. However, when students reach class X, the CBSE-prescribed curriculum is strictly followed, as in classes XI-XII.

NAFL is also accredited by ULES (University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate) to deliver its IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) programme.

Extracurricular

Students can showcase their talents and interests through seminars, public speaking, concerts, discussions and competitions. The Academic Fest, Annual Concert and the NAFL Annual Sports Meet offer a platform for students to display their creativity.
