Overview

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Hyderabad was founded in 1995 at Chenetha Bhavan, Nampally, Hyderabad. The institute rejuvenated itself with its sprawling five-acre campus at Madhapur inaugurated on May 20, 1999. The campus is admired for its architectural grandeur and aesthetic appeal. NIFT Hyderabad has been ranked among the top five fashion colleges in India by the EducationWorld C-fore survey 2013.

Campus

The NIFT, Hyderabad campus hosts two blocks, institutional buildings including classrooms, studios, workshops, resource centre, IT-Lab, administration office, and a canteen. NIFT provides hostel facility for girls. 300 girls can be accommodated at the hostel located within the campus. Hostel rooms are well equipped with the bed, study table, chair, and other furniture. The hostel provides visitor rooms, medical room, 24 hours hot-water facility, 24 hours lady care takers, lady wardens, doctor on call and security. There is also an internet room with wi-fi connectivity and facilities for indoor games like badminton, volleyball and basketball. The institute provides guest house facility for parents on availability basis with prior bookings. The canteen provides students hygienic food on all days of the week.
