Online parenting Summit (OPS) 2021 elaborates on various methods of parenting, a celebration of parenthood. The summit helps to reboot parenting and develop a friendly relationship between parents and their children. The concept of OPS is to create an impact on parents and their parenting styles. OPS aims to touch the universe and beyond, impact every generation that may come further. Until now, people practiced parenting in their own traditional ways but OPS tries to bring in modern ways in which one can make parenting experience much more fun yet unique.
Here is the story of Panna Fichadiya, mother of Nivanshi Fichadiya, who talks about her journey as a parent.
My name is Panna Fichadiya and I have an eight-year-old kid Nivanshi Fichadiya. We live in Rajkot, Gujarat. I am a homeopathic doctor by profession. Last year, I was a part of the online parenting Summit 2020 and I’m looking forward to attending the 2021 Summit too. The summit helped me gain exposure to different methods of parenting. I was able to figure out what’s going wrong in my parenting style and so this year I implemented all those learnings in the upbringing of my child. Due to this online learning mechanism, I have spent plenty of time with my kid, helping her adopt new methods and engaging in the learning process. I got the chance to know her more by giving her all the time I had.
Now, when I see her doing something passionately I feel overwhelmed. She has been learning Kathak for a while. The proudest moment as a mother is when I encourage her to do something and she puts in effort and intensity, making things happen. We both grow and learn together from each other’s relationship. I prefer a calm parenting style, screaming at my kids or annoying them is not my style.
I am eager to be a part of the online parenting Summit, 2021 because sometimes as a mother you are at crossroads, you have various decisions to make but then it becomes difficult to follow one road. And, my daughter is growing. I need to mould her in the best possible way, with all the good qualities. This summit would help me manage my roles as a mother, wife and doctor.
