Overview

OP Jindal Global University (JGU) was promoted by Naveen Jindal, the founding chancellor, in fond memory of his father Late Om Prakash Jindal as a philanthropic initiative. It is a non-profit global university established by the Haryana Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act, 2009. JGU promotes global courses, global programmes, global curriculum, global research, global collaborations, and global interaction through a global faculty. The 10 schools under JGU are:

Campus

JGU is sited on a 80-acre state-of-the art residential campus in the National Capital Region of Delhi. It hosts spacious and well-furnished and air-conditioned classrooms with instructional aids such as overhead projectors, white boards, and LCD projector to enable discussions and project presentations. The global library is centrally located which is about 20000 sq ft. With 24-hour open lounge and coffee shop, it provides the right ambience for reading and research. Sports and fitness form an integral part of campus life at the university. O P Jindal intramural tournament has also gained a huge popularity.

Accommodation

The university hostel, known as University Hall of Residence for students consists of several blocks of a building designed by a French architect.  Besides, the campus provides recreational facilities including a gymnasium and other indoor and outdoor games.
