Overview

Orchids International School, Jalahalli Sector 2, Bengaluru is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school also offers the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) curriculum prescribed by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), UK.

Founded in 2013, Orchids International School, Jalahalli Sector 2, Bengaluru offers education from nursery tthrough class XII. The school aims to achieveme high academic standard by integrating the best international methods with world class infrastructure and technology.

Campus

The school infrastructure includes a well stocked library, a computer lab, science lab, math lab, aero-modeling lab, dance room, music room, infirmary and well ventilated classrooms equipped with Smart boards – Digiboards which displays visuals and illustrations from reputed encyclopedias like Britannica, Encarta and NatGeo.

The school has set up an in-house student management software with unique login credentials issued to parents to review their ward’s performance (report cards, periodic tests, attendance, health records etc.).

The sports facilities include a skating rink, swimming pool and a huge playground with facilities for football, cricket, basketball and tennis.

Academics

According to the school, learning is an interactive process and each student learns differently due to different disposition towards knowledge. The school has a teacher student ratio of 1:18; hence teachers personalise the curriculum to make each child learn the way he/she enjoys.

The play group, nursery, LKG and UKG children are encouraged to understand the world around them and a strong foundation for formal education is laid down. In the primary classes – class I, II and III, children learn to master basics of various subjects and develop understanding of several co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. In the middle school – classes IV, V and VI – the curriculum prepares the children for more rigorous academic requirement for high school and finally in the high school – classes VII to XII – focus is on getting the child’s fundamentals right to ensure he/she is ready for the stream they wish to pursue in India or abroad.
