The first Oxford Global Academic Summit for Young Leaders (ASYL-2025), organised by the Amity Educational Resource Centre (AERC), was held from 2nd to 6th June at Amity University Dubai. The international event brought together 20 students and 4 academic mentors from India, the UK, the UAE, Lithuania, and Indonesia for a week of interdisciplinary learning and collaboration.

In partnership with Oxford Global, the summit focused on three key academic streams: Psychology (Mental Health and Wellbeing), Economics, and Artificial Intelligence. Students attended expert-led sessions and presented their research papers, demonstrating strong critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills.

Dr Joana Perrone, Director of Oxford Global and a renowned expert on gender issues in Brazil, led sessions that inspired participants with her experience in over 25 Model UN conferences. The summit also included engaging workshops on AI fundamentals, labour economics, and mental health.
