Pearl Academy collaborates with UCA for international transfer program

June 24, 2020

Leading creative education institutions in India and the UK, Pearl Academy and University for the Creative Arts (UCA), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that enables Pearl Academy students to progress to the programs offered by UCA through seamless transfer of credits.

At a time when COVID-19 has put students’ aspirations to study aboard in jeopardy, this academic tie-up enables them to fulfill that dream without wasting an academic year.

Pearl Academy’s existing and future students those who will enroll for programs in 2020 and onwards will benefit from this tie-up. They will be able to transfer their credits to UCA and study at one of the four campuses of UCA.

Professor Nandita Abraham, President, Pearl Academy, said, “Students and their parents start planning for higher studies much in advance, but this pandemic has made travelling abroad to study almost impossible. Letting go of an academic year is their choice but not advisable for any student. Progression programs such as the one between Pearl Academy and UCA create a win-win situation for them, wherein they get the best of education, global exposure and an international credit transfer”.

“UCA has been providing creative education for incredibly long 160 years, and Pearl Academy’s tie-up with them is testimony to our commitment towards the young creative minds,” Nandita further added.

In addition to progression programs, both the institutions will work together on curriculum development, international projects, sharing of best practices and faculty-exchange that will promote collaborative learning and development.

‘We are delighted that our partnership with Pearl Academy is continuing to grow and look forward to welcoming students to our campuses in the UK. Our institutes closely align in offering cutting edge creative environments and we look forward to developing and expanding the relationship in the coming years,’ commented Cheryl Yu- Director of International Studies, UCA.

The association with UCA is the latest in the series of MoUs and academic tie-ups that Pearl Academy already has with the UK-based Nottingham Trent University, University of Derby, Manchester Metropolitan University and Torrens University in Australia.
