Pinewood School, Saharanpur is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Founded by Late Mrs. Pritilata Talibuddin in January 1966 as an English medium primary school, the school offers classes from I to XII. It boasts 2000 students and about 80 teaching staff.
The school campus hosts a spacious, well lit and well ventilated library, well-equipped physics, chemistry, biology, math and computer labs, dance and music rooms, an infirmary and a playground. The school also has a projector where films of educational value, documentaries, and films made by NCERT and other educational organisations are screened.
The school curriculum is delivered by what the school calls ‘Accelerated Learning’ education methodology in an innovative and enriching learning culture. The school leverages computer technology in every subject area with a wide range of intellectual and physical development opportunities. The performance data of students is regularly analysed to actively monitor their progress and guide them for further sharpening of their learning abilities. Parents are individually provided with regular feedback on the progress and attainment of their child. Besides this, every class room is equipped with CCTV cameras for monitoring and recording class room activities.
The school regularly conducts educational trips and provides international exposure for children with emphasis on co-curricular activities such as art-craft, music, theatre and outdoor/ indoor sports.
