Overview

Founded in 1991, Puranchandra Vidyaniketan (PCVN), Kanpur is a coeducational English medium day school affiliated with the Central Board of Education (CBSE), New Delhi offering schooling from nursery through class XII. Established by Jagran Education Foundation, PCVN boasts 2000 students from nursery to class XII.

Campus

The 6 acre school campus hosts 42 well-ventilated and spacious classrooms, a spacious hall, music, art and craft rooms, an air conditioned audio-visual room with wi-Fi, two well-stocked libraries and two LRCs (both for primary and middle groups), science laboratories for the senior classes and four computer labs equipped with latest equipments.

Sports facilities include a hockey filed, cricket practice pitch, 2 basket ball courts, a lawn tennis court, volley ball court and also a kho-kho play area. PCVN provides transportation facility to students.

Academics

Affiliated with the Central Board of Education (CBSE), New Delhi, the school offers education from nursery through class XII.

Pre-primary school – The school provides a learning environment that takes care of children’s physical, mental, emotional and intellectual development with love and care.

Primary school – At the primary level (class I to class IV), the main subjects of study are English, Hindi, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Computer Studies and General Knowledge.

Middle School – Comprising classes V to VIII, the middle school curriculum focuses on imparting learning through classroom teaching, learning resource centre and outdoor activities.

Senior School – Senior School includes classes IX to XII. Science, Commerce and Humanities streams are offered at the senior secondary level.

Extra-curricular activities:

Besides academics, PCVN students are encouraged to engage in a host of extracurricular activities such as IAYP, NCC and scouts and guides.

Class I- 6 years

Parents can collect the admission form along with the prospectus on any working day from the school office for Play Group, LKG, UKG, classes I to IV admissions. For class XI, the admission depends on the availability of seats.
