Pocket money is part of childhood. Its fun to have money in hand. But it can also help to try ot a whole lot of math.

Saving a portion of your pocket money is one way. Let the kids figure out how much they can save and calculate interest it could earn.

Younger kids can play counting games. Older ones can actually keep proper accounts right to the last paisa. They can be advised how they can invest part of it and they can calculate on a monthly basis how much their money has increased! Visits to the bank will provide more info about how different kinds of deposits work.

Give them challenges like marking their expenditure on a graph, calculating the percentage of usage and increase, etc. Who knows you may be developing math wizards!
