Ramjas School, RK Puram, New Delhi is an English medium co-educational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school was founded in 1974.
With a strength of near about 2000 students and a well-qualified staff, the school has progressed immensely under the dynamic leadership of its various heads. Since 2008 Mrs. Rachna Pant has been guiding the school to reach greater heights. The school has a vibrant creative culture and works in perfect co-ordination with all its stakeholders. The school has a great international outreach and long-standing partnerships with UK, Japan, Taiwan etc. to name a few. It works in close coordination with the British Council and has provided global exposure to both students and staff.
The school campus hosts spacious classrooms equipped with multimedia and interactive boards, a well stocked internet enabled library, gymnasium and music room equipped with the latest facilities. The school offers spacious labs for chemistry, physics, biology, math and two air-conditioned computer labs, besides an interactive Science Park.
The art room has colourful, bright furniture to suit different age groups, and provides the right environment for young artists to dabble in paint and colour.
The campus also houses basketball courts, football grounds and a cricket field. There is space for yoga, karate and taekwondo.
The school follows the CBSE syllabus and offers classes from Nursery through class XII. The classrooms are equipped with Educomp’s Smart Class to make learning interactive. Multimedia and interactive boards are used to teach various subjects. The school follows the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system to evaluate the performance of the student.
Extracurricular
Students learn music, dance and dramatics and participate in a number of programs besides being exposed to artists in the arena of music, dance and theatre. The emphasis is on traditional Indian art forms. The school choirs, junior and senior, have earned a good reputation in Delhi.
Students are trained in rock-climbing, trekking, mountaineering and para-gliding. Regular jungle camps (Vanshalas) are held for both juniors and seniors.
Coaching is provided in table tennis, cricket, football, basketball, yoga, karate, taekwondo and chess.
