Founded in 2009, Redbricks School, Ahmedabad is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi.
The school was founded by Renita Handa (M.ed from Harvard University) and Aditya Handa (MBA from Babson College), founders of Redbricks Education Foundation, a not-for-profit organization focused on nation building. The school maintains an excellent teacher student ratio and has a highly child-centered approach.
The total campus area is ~6 acres.
The school operates two campuses – one for the Preschool Years and one for Class 1 to Class 12. The combined campus area is ~6 acres, spread across two locations. The larger school campus hosts separate blocks for primary, middle and high school. The school boasts a well-stocked library, well-equipped labs for science and computers, canteen and activity rooms.
The school operates across two campuses and houses 42 classrooms, two ICT labs, two performance arts rooms, one visual arts room, a library with dedicated reading spaces, a large multi-purpose hall for indoor activities and sports, and an open-air amphitheatre. Altogether, there are 40 designated spaces supporting holistic education.
All classrooms are equipped with provisions for AV-enabled teaching, which can be utilised as required. The ICT labs are specially designed as separate facilities from regular classrooms, while the performing arts rooms are built with advanced acoustics and instrument setups to enhance the learning experience.
In addition, the school boasts extensive outdoor sports infrastructure, including facilities for football, track and field, badminton, basketball, pickleball, and volleyball. For younger children, specially designed playgrounds are located near preschool and primary classrooms to facilitate small-group and circle activities. Preschoolers also benefit from engaging amenities such as a splash pool, swings, rope climbing structures, sandpit, mini amphitheatre and other recreational features tailored to their developmental needs.
The school has tailored its own unique curriculum until Class 6, which prepares the students for any board in future. The school develops its own textbooks and materials which are creative, application-oriented and align with the requirements of the CBSE, CISCE and CAIE boards.
The school’s excellent teacher student ratio ensures students are well supported during the learning process.
The school avoids burdening the students with too much homework with an age appropriate and balanced HW schedule which focuses on revision and application.
Extra academic support is provided at the school in the form of a stay back remedial program for Maths and English, and external tuitions are not recommended
