SGT University hosts grand education fair

SGT University, Gurgaon organised a grand education fair at their campus on November 17. The education fair aimed at felicitating the meritorious school students of class 12 and creating awareness for the opportunities available to students in the higher education space. The event saw participation from more than 6000 school students of Delhi and NCR along with their principals and teachers. Well known schools such as Lions Public School, Government Senior secondary School, Barpola, Sarvodaya Vidayalaya, Jhajjar, New Delhi Convent senior Secondary School and many other schools participated in the event.
Students got an opportunity to tour the entire SGT University campus including the departments of Medical, Law, Engineering, Dental and Nursing. They also interacted with the faculty members of each department. The visit was planned with an aim to enable the class 12 students who are at a crucial stage of their career, to comprehend and assess their individual potentials and the opportunities available in various disciplines.

“I am really thankful to SGT University for giving us such an amazing experience and exposure. This is a great initiative and is very helpful for students like us to choose the right career option for us,” said Monika Arora, student of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Jhajjar.

A quiz competition and a health exhibition was also organised by the university to assess the academic excellence of the students. The quiz competition was based on General Knowledge and their respective subjects (Science, Commerce & Arts). Each participating team comprised three students. NK Bargodia Public school, Dwarka won the first position followed by Rajmala senior secondary School, Jhajjar who bagged the second position and Chiranjiv Bharti School, Palam Vihar stood third.

Speaking on the occasion, T D Dogra, vice chancellor SGT University, said, “The university is dedicated to the service of the nation through education. Under ’Community Service Activities’ of the university, the education fair was organised to help the students assess their potential and get an overall exposure of what career opportunities they have”.

The education fair was a roaring success with overwhelming response from the students, teachers and staff alike.
