SKEI hosts panel discussion on how performing arts helps learning abilities

The curriculum at Smt. Kamalabai Educational Institution (SKEI) is underpinned on the belief that experience enables learning, therefore the school actively strive to curate diverse yet interconnected experiences for their children.

SKEI also strongly believes that performing arts and crafts – music, dance, theatre, arts and crafts, play a vital role in developing learning abilities within children. Adviteeyam, the school’s unique Center for Performing Arts and Crafts, was born with the objective of performing cutting-edge research to help children learn through performing arts as well as promote learning them.

On February 27, 2021, Adviteeyam hosted a panel discussion from 11 am to 12 pm at their campus to investigate and explore the fundamental premise – “Do music, dance, theatre, arts and crafts help to develop learning abilities within children?”

The list of eminent panelists included Dr. Geetha Ramanujam, Educationist, Playwright, Theatre Director, Philosopher;  Dr. Bindu Subramaniam, Dean at SaPa – Subramaniam Academy of Performing Arts, Founding Director of SaPa in Schools and Dr. Rekha Raju, Founder, Nrithya Dharma Temple of Fine Arts.
