Overview

Smt. Swarn Lata Sethi DAV Public School, Mausam Vihar, Delhi is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. Started in December 1990, the school functions under the aegis of DAV College Managing Committee. SLS DAV Public School, Mausam Vihar, Delhi offers education from nursery through class XII.

The school has proudly attained the distinction of becoming ISO certified in the year 2006 and is still maintaining high standards of ISO 9001:2008.

Campus

The 1.76 acre school campus hosts a library featuring more than 24,000 books, journals, periodicals, dailies and other reference material. All classrooms are equipped with smart boards. The school houses well equipped bio-technology lab, fashion lab, two senior computer labs, a junior computer lab, psychology lab, biology lab, chemistry lab, physics lab, robotics lab and math lab with modern facilities. The school also houses a clay art studio, well furnished conference hall installed with roof mounted LCD projector, projection screen and a home theatre system.

The school hosts indoor sports facilities for table-tennis, basketball, badminton, billiards and outdoor sports facilities for hockey, cricket, judo, volleyball, tennis, and other grounds facilities availed at Yamuna Sports Complex.

Academics

Affiliated with CBSE, the school offers education from nursery through class XII. It holds project presentations for all students to overcome their stage fright, improve their public speaking and communication skills, learn team-building and team-work and understand concepts in a fun manner. Physical Education in Curriculum (PEC) has been taken up in an extensive way in the primary classes and special sensitizing sessions for students and parents of each class are held to bridge all the gaps between school and them.

At senior secondary level, the school offers both medical and non-medical science streams with options such as biotechnology, fashion studies, economics, and psychology. The commerce stream has psychology, mass media studies, fashion studies, informatics practices etc. The school also has professional stream with legal studies, mass media studies, fashion studies and vocational subjects such as financial market management, IT vocational etc.
