SNEH International School, New Delhi is a co-educational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Inaugurated on September 18, 2004 the school boasts a unique teaching methodology that combines contemporary and conventional methods in a flexible manner according to the age and aptitude of the child.
Offering education from Nursery through class XII, the school aims at formulating for itself the three fold objective of developing the potential of each student, equipping all students to be self-directed learners and encouraging them to make valuable contributions to the family, school, nation and the world. The school hosts spacious air-conditioned class rooms with computer aided audio visual facilities and multimedia, TV, computer and CCTV cameras. The school hosts a well stocked library and a reading room, a fully equipped computer lab, labs for mathematics, general science, physics, chemistry and biology, a mini auditorium, music and dance center equipped with musical instruments and audio electronic systems and an Art and Craft room. The school also offers an infirmary, a canteen and reverse osmosis water filters, fire safety measures and 100 per cent power backup.
The sports infrastructure includes vast play fields, courts for tennis, basketball and volleyball, a skating rink and a children’s park. There is also an activity centre for the toddlers with ball pool, dollhouse and clay studio.
The facilities for children with special needs include ramps and special personnel to assist them when required; classes for children needing special care are conducted on the ground floor.
At the Nursery level, the school follows an activity enriched program for all round development of children. Subjects offered include languages (English and Hindi), arts, arithmetic and environmental science along with physical education (yoga, tennis, skating, fun games), dance and music, art, theatre and personality development, reading and storytelling.
At the lower primary level, the school offers a rich, challenging and a stimulating curriculum which enables students to develop a deep interest in learning. The curriculum includes subjects like languages, mathematics, environmental studies, general knowledge, computer science, life formation, physical education, dance, music and theatre along with art and craft. Educational field trips are planned in co-ordination with the lessons. Teachers also encourage children to work in groups and pairs.
The upper primary level curriculum caters to all areas of development of adolescent children by combining subject discipline, cross-cultural issues along with citizenship and personal development. The curriculum includes English, Hindi, mathematics, Sanskrit/French/German, general science, computer science, general knowledge, physical education, life formation along with SUPW, dance and music, theatre, clay work and hobby development in the form of clubs.
In classes IX to XII, which form the senior school, greater focus is laid on academic development and preparation for examinations for admission to universities worldwide. Personal growth opportunities and sensitization to community development are emphasized, especially in SUPW.
In class XI, students can opt between Science, Commerce and Arts streams as per the norms laid down by CBSE. Physical education, computer science, life formation and hobby development also form an intrinsic part of the senior secondary curriculum.
