Founded by Goan Jesuit priest Reverend Father Lawrence Rodriques in 1937, St. Lawrence High School located in Kolkata is a boys day cum boarding school affiliated with the West Bengal state board. The school also includes a charitable dispensary, an alumni by the name of St. Lawrence Old Boys Assosciation (SLOBA) based on Jesuit principles and involves the school’s various projects.
The prime motto of the school is “For God and Countrymen”. The objective of the school is to eradicate illiteracy and inculcate the concept of unity in diversity among the students.
