Overview

Founded by Goan Jesuit priest Reverend Father Lawrence Rodriques in 1937, St. Lawrence High School located in Kolkata is a boys day cum boarding school affiliated with the West Bengal state board. The school also includes a charitable dispensary, an alumni by the name of St. Lawrence Old Boys Assosciation (SLOBA) based on Jesuit principles and involves the school’s various projects.

The prime motto of the school is “For God and Countrymen”. The objective of the school is to eradicate illiteracy and inculcate the concept of unity in diversity among the students.

Campus

The school hosts large, spacious and well-lit classrooms, a well stocked library with books on various topics, an auditorium, a beautiful flower garden and a play field for the students.

Academics

St. Lawrence High School follows the curriculum of the West Bengal Secondary Education ( Class X) and the Council of Higher Secondary Education (Class XII), thus catering to the educational needs of children from class I through XII.

The school offers Arts, Science and Commerce streams at the higher secondary level.

Co-curricular activities include Scout Troop, Leadership Training Services (LTC), Christian Life Communities (CLC), Nature club, Quiz, Debate, Dance, Music, Chess, Scrabble club, Work Education and Physical education.

Fee Structure

The fee structure for primary section is as follows:
