#SyllabusForStudents2020: MHRD seeks opinion on syllabus reduction

Ramesh Pokhriyal's live session with students postponed to Dec 10

Amid the coronavirus outbreak, the Ministry of Human Resources Development is seeking opinion on reduction of syllabus. People who are interested can give their opinion and recommendations using the hashtag #SyllabusForStudents2020. Since all educational institutes are shut and there’s no clarity as to when the new academic session will start, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said that the syllabus might be reduced for the upcoming academic session 2020-21.

The minister tweeted, “In view of the current circumstances and after receiving a lot of requests from parents and teachers, we are contemplating the option of reduction in the syllabus and instructional hours for the coming academic year.”

Twitter and Facebook users have been giving suggestions with the hashtag #SyllabusForStudents2020. The ministry will review the suggestions and create a detailed plan for the academic session.
