Overview

Founded in 1971, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore is a leading agrotechnology provider of India. The university offers thirteen undergraduate degree programmes, forty graduate degree programmes and twenty-six doctoral programmes in 14 colleges across 11 campuses in Tamil Nadu. TNAU boasts 36 research centres for agrotechnology development and 14 Farm Science Centres for outreach.

Campus

Functioning since 1910, the TNAU library is the oldest in the city. It features about 200,000 books, monographs, 25,000 text and reference books and 8000 theses and dissertations. It subscribes to about 2200 national and international journals with online access for the journals.

Criteria for Eligibility:

For undergraduate programmes – Applicants must have passed their Higher Secondary Exam with Science stream under CBSE or any equivalent board of education.

For Post graduate programmes – Applicants should be graduates having completed4 yeardegree programme in any one of the State Agricultural Universities / Colleges affiliated to State Agricultural Universities.

For Doctoral Programmes – Applicants must have completed 4 yeardegree programme and 2 year PG programme in any one of the State Agricultural Universities / Colleges affiliated to State Agricultural Universities.

For Integrated Doctoral Programmes – Applicants must have completed 4 year UG degree programme in any one of the State Agricultural Universities/Colleges affiliated to State Agricultural Universities with at least OGPA of 8.5 / 10.0 scale or its equivalent.
