The Assembly of God Church School (AGCS), Kolkata is a K-12 co-educational school affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi and offering education from nursery to class XII. The school was stablished in 1964 by Rev. (Dr.) D. Mark Buntain under the aegis of The Assemblies of God of North India, with 230 children and 16 teaching staff.
AGCS hosts a special learning centre for children with dyslexia and other learning disabilities and is also a National Institute of Open Schooling-accredited study centre.
The Assembly of God Church educational programme in West Bengal comprises 18 educational institutions.
The primary school section is housed at Royd Street.In June 1986, the Secondary School and Junior College sections were opened at the Buntain Education Centre, 125/1, Park Street while the Junior School Section (nursery-class VI) remained at 18/1, Royd Street, Calcutta-16. A separate Afternoon Session, which opened in June 1987, also functions from the Royd Street premises (nursery-Class VIII).
When the school was promoted in 1964, children were provided with biscuits and milk. Today there is a feeding programme for over 25,000 children.
The school was first recognised as a private primary school in 1965, as a middle school in 1967, as a junior high school in 1969 and then as a high school in 1970 by the department of education, West Bengal. Soon after, the school received affiliation from the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi and sent its first batch of 35 students for the board examination in 1970.The school prepares its children for the class X ICSE and ISC examinations of CISCE.
At the Plus Two level (classes XI-XII) three streams are offered: humanities, commerce and science.
Since May 1994, it has also been accredited by the National Institute for Open Schooling, New Delhi as a study centre for foundation, secondary and senior secondary examinations.
A special unit for children with dyslexia and other learning disabilities was opened in September 1992. This caters to the special needs of disabled children and attempts to help them rejoin the mainstream education system.
Transport facilitiesare available for the children with the school fleet comprising five large buses and two mini-buses.

Extra curricular activities at Assembly God Church School, Kolkata are promoted through various clubs such as the nature club, dance club, the western and eastern music clubs, Bangla club, Bible club, talents contests, cultural celebrations, etc.

Admissions are against vacancies and subject to the discretion of the management, and begin in April. At the time of nursery admissions, birth certificate and hospital discharge certificate need to be produced. Children are admitted into nursery at the age of 3+.
