Inclusivity in education truly resonates with the vision of Khaitan Public School to spread the brilliance of knowledge in the lives of differently abled children. The opening of a new school ‘Karuna: A Special School’ is a step to transform the lives of these children so that the radiance of their dreams illuminates the world.
The inauguration of ‘Karuna: A Special School for Children’ on 24th October, 2018 saw Our Chairman Kamesh Khaitan, Vice Chairman, Mr. Anirudh Khaitan, Education Director, Ms. Geeta Varshneya, Heads of all wings; in attendance. Dr. Ashima Srivastava, Dr. Deepak Gupta and Dr. Rajeev Nandni graced the event with their benign presence along with Ms. Karuna Khaitan.
The event began with the welcoming of the guests by presentation of bouquets which was followed by lighting of the lamp by the Guests of Honour.
A group song by our little angels of Grades I and II set the tone for the presentation shown by SEN Department. A solo dance performance by Arjun and a song presentation by Adrija garnered praise from all corners.
The parents expressed their gratitude by sharing their thoughts on stage. It was an affirmation of the good work that was already being done by the SEN Department.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks proposed through a video. The Guests of Honour also applauded this effort of Khaitan Public School to make these children a part of the mainstream.
The opening of the school ‘Karuna’ is one giant step by Khaitan Public School towards empathy and inclusivity in education. It is a step to instill confidence in these children and prepare them to brace all the challenges of life with elan.
