Overview

Established in 1986, The Lucknow Public Collegiate (LPC) sited at Jopling Road, Lucknow is a co-educational day-boarding cum residential school for boys. Affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate of Examinations (CISCE) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi the school offers education from Nursery through class XII with English as the medium of instruction.

The primary objective of the school is to provide comprehensive education, equipping the students with positive mental setup and bring out the best in each child, helping them to set their own parameters in an independent way.

Academics

Affiliated with CISCE and CBSE, New Delhi, LPC, Jopling Road offers schooling from Nursery to class XII. The school focuses on language skills, innovative teaching and curriculum supplements, special mentor sessions,supervised study, individual counselling and faculty training sessions.

At the Kindergarten level, children are motivated to do their best without any pressure. The subjects offered include English, mathematics, Hindi, General Knowledge, conversation, story-telling, drawing, rhymes and song.

The ICSE curriculum includes English, Hindi and Social Studies as mandatory subjects with Computer Science, Mathematics, Science, Economics and Commerce as optional subjects.

The senior secondary curriculum is grouped as below:

Group I: English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Hindi/Biology/Economics/Computers /Entrepreneurship.

Group II: English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Economics/Entrepreneurship/Hindi /Maths/Computers.

Group III: English, Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics/Entrepreneurship/ Hindi/Maths/Computers.

Group IV: English, Hindi, Economics, Entrepreneurship, History, Sociology/Computers.

The school organises various co-curricular activities such as school bulletin, students club, art and craft, creative space, competitions, cultural activities, celebrations and outdoor activities such as excursions, field trips and adventure sports.

The school also facilitates sports such as cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, aerobics, billiards and badminton.

Special classes are also conducted by the school for photography, carpentry, painting and sketching.

Admission

Admission is subject to availability of seats and is based on the candidate’s performance in the LPC admission test and interview.

Admission to Nursery

For admission of a child in Nursery class of The Lucknow Public Collegiate, a child should not be less than three years and more than four years of age as on April 1 of the year in which admission is sought.

Documents required are:

a) Original birth certificate from the Municipal Authorities

b) Registration fees (Non-transferable and non-refundable)
