The 4th Annual TeachersHelpTeachers (THT) Online Hackathon, held in February 2025, brought together educators from across India to showcase innovative and experiential teaching strategies. Centered around the theme of ‘Experiential Learning’, this unique event provided a platform for educators to share real-world, hands-on teaching practices that inspire deeper learning and student engagement.
Supported by EducationWorld Magazine, the hackathon witnessed participation from over 500 educators online, with 40 selected presenters sharing their ideas in front of a distinguished panel of judges and a live virtual audience.
For the first time, the hackathon was conducted entirely online, enabling educators from diverse geographies and school boards—spanning Pre-Primary to High School—to connect, collaborate, and celebrate impactful teaching. The THT team curated this experience with care, aiming to build a space where teachers could learn from each other’s best practices and spark a ripple effect of innovation across classrooms.
What is Experiential Learning?
Experiential learning is often described as ‘learning by doing’. It emphasizes hands-on, real-world activities such as experiments, role-plays, field work, surveys, simulations, and performances to help students develop skills and understanding through direct engagement and reflection.
