Founded in 1937, the University of Kerala (UoK), formerly the University of Travancore, is an affiliating university located in Trivandrum in the south indian state of Kerala. The university houses sixteen faculties and forty one departments of teaching and research.The university boasts over 150 affiliated colleges. The role of the university is in prescribing courses of study and conducting examinations and issuing certificates. The University Grants Commission has selected the University of Kerala as one of the 26 institutions for promotion of India Studies by foreign students.
Eligibility for BSc (Botany and Bio-technology) A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the state board or an examination recognised by the university as equivalent thereto with Biology as one of the subjects. Eligibility for BSc (Environmental Science and Environment and Water Management) A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the state board or an examination recognised by the university as equivalent thereto with Biology as one of the subjects. Eligibility for BSc (Physics & Computer Application) A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the state board or an examination accepted by the university as equivalent thereto with Physics as one of the subjects. Eligibility for BCA A pass in Higher Secondary examination of the state board or an examination accepted by the university as equivalent thereto with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Eligibility for BBA A pass in Higher Secondary examination of the state board or an examination accepted by the university as equivalent thereto with minimum of 45 percent aggregatemarks. The University Grants Commission has selected the university as one of the 26 institutions for promotion of India Studies by foreign students. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has conferred the university with A grade as on March 5, 2015.
