In a move to promote awareness and engagement in the field of education, the state government has issued directives for organizing public participatory programs in schools under the Nipun Bharat Mission. Taking inspiration from the G20 Summit, these programs aim to familiarize students, parents, and teachers with the government’s educational initiatives. An array of activities, including summer camps, Skilled Task Force meetings, home visits, and district-level programs, will be conducted to showcase the Nipun Bharat Mission, the National Education Policy 2020, and digital learning.

Emphasizing the significance of these programs, a government official stated, “We want to ensure that teachers, parents, community members, and representatives are well-informed about the initiatives undertaken in the Nipun Bharat Mission. These activities will provide a platform for learning and engagement at the district, divisional, and state levels.” The State Project Office has already issued instructions to principals of district DIAT, BSAs, and BEOs to implement the programs accordingly.

Vijay Kiran Anand, the State Project Director, highlighted the role of innovative teachers in organizing summer camps with self-motivation. He stressed that summer camps offer a meaningful and creative environment during the vacation period, allowing children to learn various skills in a safe and engaging atmosphere. To ensure a holistic approach, active voluntary organizations at the local level are encouraged to support teachers in facilitating these activities. The summer camps are recommended to have a minimum duration of two hours, commencing from 7 am onwards. It is also crucial to involve parents in these camps, fostering a collaborative learning experience.

The summer camp agenda promises a plethora of interesting activities, including language and mathematical proficiency, storytelling, music, art-related work, origami, newspaper art, mask-making, painting, project work, quiz contests, rallies, morning assemblies, educational forums, English-speaking courses, self-defense training, and yoga practice. These diverse offerings aim to provide an enriching experience for the participants, fostering both educational and social skills.

As the state government takes strides towards empowering its education sector, the latest public participatory programs mark a significant step in creating awareness and fostering an inclusive learning environment for students, parents, and teachers alike.
