Founded in 1981 by Vasavi Academy of Education, Vasavi College of Engineering is a reputed institution in the state of Andhra Pradesh.The college in its pursuit for quality in technical education has earned No.3 rank in the state and is placed among top 50 engineering colleges in the country. Campus

The 13.6 acre college campus hosts centralised computer centre, well-stocked library featuring 11,335 titles and 94,015 volumes, 104 national and 6 international journals and online subscription of IEEE, ASME, ASCE, and DELNET, well-equipped separate library for language and phonetics. Emergency medical care and first-aid is available within the campus.

Admission

The admission to the B.E. course, under “Category A” seats, is through a state-level entrance test called "Engineering, Agricultural Sciences and Medical Common Entrance Test" (EAMCET), conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. 70 percent of the seats under "Category A" are filled by the convener of EAMCET based on the rank secured in EAMCET and as per the rules of reservation in force. 30 percent of the seats under "Category B" are filled by the management based on the guidelines issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time.
