Vista International School proud of its science prodigy

Anirudh

AnirudhIt is a widely held belief that ‘morning shows the day’. And although we have the power to change the course of the day despite what the morning unfurls, this saying, more often than not, rings true. For Anirudh A, a grade 9 student of Vista International School, Hyderabad – the morning was spot on with its prediction of the day. From a very young age, this modest, often shy boy would leave his teachers in awe with his academic brilliance. And although his academic excellence could be viewed across all subjects, there wasn’t a shadow of doubt that science was his sweet spot.

From as young as 5 years old, he found himself at home among gadgets – dismantling and assembling them with immaculate precision. His doting parents – Anand Seshadri and Sri Ranjani – were quick to notice their son’s proclivity for science and maths and did their best to encourage him in his path to explore and grow. Their guidance and nurture have made a significant difference in the way Anirudh views life. Setting a perfect balance between discipline, righteousness, perseverance and independence, they have ensured that Anirudh knows what he is capable of, yet remains grounded and humble.

His performance at school has consistently been above par, but the quiet and curious learner had more to achieve than what could be included in his school syllabus. Thus began his journey of participation in various competitive exams – where he kept adding laurels to his name. He qualified as one among the National SPOT 100 Finalists (2021-22) in the Science Promotion Orient Test conducted by Vikram Sarabhai Science Foundation where he got selected in the National Selection Level.

He was also awarded Certificate of Merit by VSSF for his outstanding performance at the national Inquisitive – Science Quiz. He was one among the 10 selected students who presented their Science Project idea in front of the panel of many scientists including the former Chairmen of ISRO and in the presence of the Honourable Governor of Kerala.

In the largest science talent search for new India conducted by Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan, he secured the THIRD rank in Rangareddy District in the year 2020 and secured the FIRST rank in the year 2021 and secured his place in the National Selection Level.

He also received Certificate of Merit from INTSO for Science Talent Search Olympiad and was awarded a Smart Band as a token of recognition. He was also selected to participate in the Zonal Level 2 and got awarded by GIZMOS. And his performance at the SOF Olympiad Exams have been consistently excellent.

What probably sets this incredibly gifted young man apart is his humility and modesty. His willingness to embrace knowledge and his appreciation of values and morals leaves no room for doubt that he would go on to achieve bigger and better things in life.
