WizIQ hosts groundbreaking global technology conclave EdTech.Now

Hinting at a paradigm shift in the way education technology is approached, Apex, North Carolina headquartered WizIQ, one of the world’s largest online education platforms, recently concluded its highly successful technology conclave EdTech.Now. Organised in partnership with Cambridge University Press India and technology behemoth Microsoft, the one-of-its-kind event was held on October 15 in New Delhi and witnessed participation from over 300 visionaries, investors, edtech innovators, and media personnel.
Meant to draw deep industry insights to counteract the challenges faced by the Indian education landscape, EdTech.Now saw keynote speeches and plenary sessions by industry leaders such as Pratik Mehta (director – Education, Microsoft Corp India), Vinod Dham (CEO and co-founder of Acadgild & Founding MD of IndoUS Venture Partners), Harman Singh (founder & CEO, WizIQ), and Ratnesh Kumar Jha (MD, Cambridge University Press, South Asia).

Speaking on the event, Singh said, “The whole purpose of creating a premier conclave in the form EdTech.Now was to bring together thought leaders, innovators, industry experts, educators and content providers onto a common platform. The heart-warming acclaim and response we have received during the conclave has served as a catalyst that will boost our efforts to provide high-quality digital educative solutions to the Indian population.”

The EdTech.Now conclave facilitated discussions and insight delivery on various matters pertaining to online education and how to optimally leverage the disruptive impact of technology on education. The panel discussion, ‘Riding the Change – Challenges & opportunities for online education service providers’ saw participants talk about the impact made by digital penetration on the overall education landscape and discuss the challenges faced and future opportunities in online education sector. Moreover, edtech providers also discussed ‘Hottest technologies that are shaping the future of education’, from Cloud-computing to LMS management and MOOC education.

With several other topics such as ‘Workforce 2020 – Emerging trends & challenges in corporate learning’ amongst those discussed, WizIQ’s EdTech.Now offered an apt platform to stimulate open-ended discussion and formulation of tangible technology-driven solutions to overcome the barriers faced by education in India.
