Yuva Utsava-India underway at 12 locations across the country

Yuva Utsava-India is in full swing at a dozen locations across the country. By 31st March 2023, this celebration of youth power will be held in 150 Districts in India.

Yuva Utsava celebrations in Maharashtra were inaugurated at Jalgaon’s Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Natya Sankul with the support of the  District Administration, District Information Officer, District Industry Centre, District Sports Officer, NABARD, Central Bureau of Communications, Department of Social Welfare,  NSS, and NCC among others. Member of Parliament, Unmesh Patil, was the Chief Guest at the event. 

The Yuva Mahotsav was kicked off in Mumbai and Sindhudurg District yesterday. In Mumbai, the event was hosted at Namdar Gopal Krishna Gokhale High School and Junior College, Borivali.

As of writing, the Yuva Utsava is being simultaneously held in Pratapgarh (Uttar Pradesh), Haridwar (Uttrakhand), Dhar and Hosangabad (Madhya Pradesh), Hanumangarh (Rajasthan), Saraiekela (Jharkhand), Kapurthala (Punjab), Jalgaon (Maharastra), Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), Karimnagar (Telangana), Palakhad (Kerala), and Cuddalore ( Tamil Nadu). 

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports and Information and Broadcasting Anurag Singh Thakur who launched the youthfest at  IIT Ropar,  Punjab recalled the sacrifices of freedom fighters and urged the youth to make the country proud.

“Today, India has become the third largest startup ecosystem in the world. We have 107 unicorns. We are the biggest Yuva-Shakti in the world and we must strive to achieve our potential, youth are the builders of tomorrow” he said, urging students to select  one social cause that was close to their hearts and work to “find solutions to these issues.” 

The first phase of the Yuva Utsav programs is being implemented in schools and colleges of the districts, with broad-based participants/footfall from neighboring educational institutions as well as youth volunteers and members of youth clubs affiliated with the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports through its premier youth organization, the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan. 

The NYKS is organizing the “YUVA UTSAV- India @2047” program in all districts across the country. The pan India celebration follows a 3-tier format, beginning with a one-day District Level Yuva Utsav to be held between March and June 2023.
