A delegation of 18 US Universities visited Amity University to discuss and explore possible areas of collaboration and engagement with Amity Universities & Institutions on Articulation and Pathway programs, 3 Continent and Study Abroad Programs, Faculty Exchange, Offering Dual & Joint Degrees, Joint PhD & Research initiatives and India Immersion programs.
The delegation facilitated by US India Education Foundation (USIEF) comprised of senior representatives from Illinois Institute of Technology, Colorado State University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Iowa State University, Arizona State University, Full Sail University, Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, DePaul University, University of Massachusetts Lowell, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Arizona, NYU Tandon School of Engineering, University of New Haven, David Eccles School of Business- University of Utah, Bradley University, New York Film Academy, University of Rochester and University of San Francisco.
Welcoming the delegation, Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities termed this visit as historic and said, “when our students in India want to explore educational opportunities in US, they look for friendliness, comfort, culture and facilities offered by the Universities, apart from the education prospects, therefore Amity is looking forward to strengthening our relationships with US Universities”. Laying special emphasis on Amity’s US Presence & Current Partnerships, he said that such interactions help students to understand what kind of preparations need to be done to join US universities and know what sort of opportunities are available to Indian students in the US, so that they accordingly prepare .
Sharing his words of wisdom, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, stated that this visit is a Game changer for Amity students which will help in their career progression since students will be benefitted from the ‘Best of the West and Best of the East’ , which will change their life. He expressed his confidence in the students that with the outside experience of Education, one can achieve everything in life.
Addressing the students Ms. Megha Yadav, Adviser, Education USA, USIEF, said USIEF has been instrumental in fostering various programmes with India & US and this delegation is here to learn and support each other.
The delegation was mesmerized with Amity student’s intelligence during their one to one interaction and all Universities invited them to the US with much enthusiasm. Most universities also offered Scholarships to Amity University students and some with guaranteed jobs in US. Illinois Institute of Technology offered to waive off GRE and TOFEL for Amity students . Each university offered their programmes with their specializations in areas such as Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and MI, Information Technology and Management, Business Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, Health Informatics, Neurology, Data Science, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence Game Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Film, Music Production, Filmmaking, Acting, Screenwriting, Cinematography, Photography, 3D animation & VFX, Game Designing and many more.
Highlighting the researches and innovations carried out by Amity Scientists and students Dr. W. Selvamurthy, President, Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation said this is an opportune time for students when Young India is looking for new researches , new technologies , innovations and new education policies. Such collaborations with prestigious Universities of US will help in Mission Connect, Mission Synergy and Mission Outcome and students should grab this opportunity to gain global exposure.
During the visit the delegation also took a round of the Amity campus along with the Senior Amity Officials and was highly impressed by its infrastructure , facilities and research and innovation opportunities provided to the students . The programme was attended by Scientists, Academicians , Faculty and Students who have a dream to study in US.
