A shocking incident has come to light in Lucknow, where a 7-year-old girl, currently enrolled in UKG at a private school, has stopped attending classes for the past over a week. The reason behind her absence is alleged multiple slaps inflicted by her teacher, resulting in severe mental trauma that the young child has been unable to overcome. The victim, a resident of Sundar Nagar, has endured a distressing ordeal that has garnered widespread attention after a video capturing her traumatized state went viral last Friday. In the video, the parents can be seen desperately trying to revive their unconscious daughter.
Speaking to media, the girl’s father recounted the harrowing incident, stating, “On May 11, my daughter was subjected to multiple assaults by her teacher. When my elder daughter, who also attends the same school, confronted the principal about the incident, they were rudely dismissed and told to attend classes as usual.” The father further explained that upon the completion of the school day, his wife discovered their daughter sitting at her desk with her head down. When questioned, the girl revealed that the teacher had physically attacked her, but no assistance was provided. Disturbed by the situation, the father confronted the school administration on May 12, only to be humiliated and asked to leave the premises. It is noteworthy that all three of the family’s daughters attend the same school.
The Krishna Nagar police, acting on the complaint, registered a non-cognizable report on May 18, citing sections IPC 323 and 504. However, the family claims that the school administration resorted to pressurizing tactics in an attempt to dissuade them from filing a formal FIR. Their intention was to delay the process, thereby preventing a comprehensive medical examination that could potentially reveal evidence of the child’s injuries. The traumatic experience has left the young girl in a state of fear and she has adamantly refused to return to school. In fact, due to concerns for their safety, the victim’s two sisters have also ceased attending classes.
This distressing incident raises serious questions about the safety and well-being of students within educational institutions. It is imperative that authorities swiftly investigate the allegations and take appropriate action to ensure justice for the traumatized child and her family.
