All Saints School, Bhopal is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school was founded in 1980 by Iris Cynthia Philomene Auer who came to India after she retired as principal of a school in England. Started with 7 children on its rolls, the school boasts over 2,500 students today. The school follows the motto ‘To the Highest’.
The school hosts spacious, well-furnished and ventilated classrooms and lecture halls, well equipped labs for biology, physics and chemistry, English language lab, computer lab, math lab and a well stocked library.
The school also houses a large sports ground with facilities for sports such as cricket, basketball, volleyball, kho-kho and football and an indoor games room for table-tennis, carom and chess. The school also has facilities for yoga, NCC, dance/music, art/craft classes etc.
The school offers CBSE curriculum and computer education is a compulsory subject. The school has deployed “Tata ClassEdge” that aims to enhance students’ social and thinking skills and ensures a thorough understanding of the curriculum content. The school hosts regular conversation exercises and terminal and final oral examinations in spoken English are an essential criterion for promotion. Project work is emphasised and project work marks are included in tests/ examinations of respective subjects. The school shares lesson plans (theory and practical) in booklet form for the information of parents.
Sports activities are an essential part of the curriculum and students participate in inter house and inter school tournaments. It is compulsory for every student from class I onwards to opt for at least one of the following – classical and folk dancing, music, percussion band, yoga, Karate, public speaking, drama, fine arts, photography and craft.
