BasicFirst announces LIVE online classes for school students

October 4, 2019

BasicFirst, a technology based e-learning platform, announced the launch of its‘LIVE Online Classes’, to offer an interactive and ‘participative learning’ experience for school students in India. At an Influencers meet in a city hotel in New Delhi on Monday, Mr. Randhir Kumar Priyadarshi, Chief Mentor, BasicFirst also revealed that this new
service will be available on their platform in nine Indian languages within the next three months, thereby widening its reach even further.

Since its inception in February this year, BasicFirst has grown rapidly to about 18 locations and 700 employees with close to 20,000 paid subscribers for its two initial products namely the ‘Doubt Clearing Programme’ and ‘Rent-a-Tab’. While the first product enables a student preparing for any examination from classes six to 12 across India, to get their doubts clarified through chat/phone/video, ‘Rent-a-Tab’ allows students access to the country’s most
affordable education Tablet at INR 750 a month only.

BasicFirstaims to provide the live classes in a total of nine languages, with eight regional languages, in the next three months. The ‘LIVE Online Classes’ program will allow students to choose from their preferred language, which include English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telegu, Oriya, Bangla and Marathi, as a medium of learning. The regional language feature is aimed for students of non-metropolitan cities, whose preferred language might not
be English, and the levels of comfort for students lie in learning in their regional language.

Other than the multi-language support, the other unique feature of the Live Online Classes program is that it allow students to choose a specific subject(s) instead of group of subjects, according to the students’ need. The online classes also provide the students the option of a‘one-to-one class’, where a teacher is available for a single student, or a‘one-to-many class’, where a batch of students with similar subjects are clubbed together for co-learning experience. Both the features have their own benefits: the one-to-one class provides individual focus, like in private classes, while the many-to-one helps students clarify problems and doubts along with others, just like the classrooms.

Describing the features available for BasicFirst’s‘LIVE Online Classes’ students, Mr. Kumar said, “The LIVE online classes are available for a wide ambit of courses like JEE Main and Advanced, NEET, AIIMS etc. To further ease the learning process for students hailing from humble economic backgrounds, we also have EMI options on the course fee of the students, so that parents are not burdened by one-time payment of a large sum.”

“The future of learning lies in bettering features of LIVE online classes, enabling it to provide a realistic feel, with the potential of replacing the offline coaching classes”, he added.
