Overview

Founded in 2004, The Goa campus of Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (BPGC), is a higher education institute for technical and science education. BITS Pilani’s motto is "Knowledge is Power Supreme". About 150 large and medium sized companies visit BITS Pilani campus every year for campus recruitment. On an average, 90 percent of BITS Pilani students secure jobs through campus placements every year.

Campus

The 180 acre BPGC campus is a self contained campus with residential, teaching and shopping zones. The college campus hosts first class infrastructure with spacious labs, state of the art classrooms with soundproof acoustics, computer labs with internet facility, a college library stocked with 31,000 books, 81 Indian and 20 foreign periodicals, CDs, audio/video cassettes, EDD Notes and magazines, guest house and student activity centre. The campus also hosts a medical centre with two doctors, pharmacist and other support staff, a shopping complex with departmental store, cafeteria, bank and utility shops.

General Information

Admission

The admission is on the basis of merit as assessed by the BITSAT examination, which is the first of its kind in India. BITSAT is a computer based test and is held at BITS authorised test centres. BITS Pilani also offers direct admission to state and national board top performers from India. Fees: Please contact the institute for information on fees.

Accommodation

The campus hosts separate hostels for boys and girls. Single room is allotted to each student, furnished with a bed, a wardrobe, a computer cum study table, a mirror and black granite shelf. Internet connection is provided in each room. Entertainment facilities include common room with TV and cable connection and with National and Local newspapers.
