What is Performing Arts?

Performing arts refer to creative activities aimed towards an audience such as music, dance and drama. Performing arts, an expression of the artists’ emotions and feelings, include numerous cultural expressions reflecting human creativity and heritage performed in front of a live audience. Performances may be organized in purpose-built buildings such as operas and theatres or in open-air venues such as street-performances and circuses. Performing arts are a diverse artistic form ranging from vocal and instrumental music, dance and theatre to pantomimes, sung verses etc.
